Take Synthroid the right way, every day

This is because when you take your medicine, how you take it, and other factors affect how your body absorbs the medicine and how effective it is. Get tips for taking Synthroid the right way, every day.
Stay with Synthroid
To keep your thyroid hormone in balance, your doctor may prefer that you stay on Synthroid. The Food and Drug Administration has determined that some, but not all, levothyroxine products are interchangeable.
If you are switched to a levothyroxine product that isn't interchangeable, you may need an additional TSH test in 8-12 weeks. Talk to your doctor to see if you should stay with Synthroid.
Use
SYNTHROID is a prescription synthetic thyroid hormone that is used to treat a condition called hypothyroidism. It is intended to replace a hormone that is normally produced by your thyroid gland. Generally, thyroid replacement therapy is to be taken for life.
